Creating Disclaimers

This guide will show you how to create Disclaimers within the Rocketseed Hierarchy.

How Disclaimers Work

Disclaimers within the Rocketseed Application, allow you to create legally compliant disclaimer text to be appended to the bottom of your email chain. Rocketseed uses personalised information to add sender and receiver information as well as date and time sent to this disclaimer making it a specific to each email sent.

Personalised Disclaimer Information

Data such as email address of email sender, email address of email recipient as well as date and time of email send is found in the header information of the email and dynamically added to the disclaimer text.

Creating a Disclaimer

You start your disclaimer creation by selecting your disclaimer from the gallery provided.

In this example we have selected the Full Text Disclaimer

An editable version will now be made available for you to update and make your own.

Using the Modification options to the right you may now update the fonts and colours of your signature.

Selecting the “All Values” check box will highlight the labels in the design that will be updated and will give activate additional formatting options for you.

Select the Font Style, Size (Default to 10pts) and Colour and then decide on your text decoration (Bold, Italics and/or underline) and click the “Apply” button to see the changes in the design view.

Then update the data labels in the same way if you wish to distinguish between the text and the personalisation information.

You will then be prompted to name your new disclaimer. Save your new disclaimer’s name and you’re done.
