This guide will show you how to create Signatures within the Rocketseed Hierarchy.
Signatures within the Rocketseed Application, allow you to create specific designs for your account and using personalisation codes, Rocketseed then uses the data stored in the email sender’s record to update the design with each sender’s information.
Data such as Name, Job Title, Phone Numbers and even personalised pictures may be stored in the email sender’s data record. This information is then used to propagate the information for each sender’s signature at the time of each mail send.
This means that updates to the sender’s record will automatically update in the next email signature without any changes needed to the design.
Some signatures contain only one piece of specific information (your company logo for example) and therefore needs only one area of engagement. The Rocketseed Application allows you to add one applicable link to the entire banner ensuring that any click on that banner takes the email recipient to the relevant information on the website.
Some images within the Signature may contain more than one piece for information (your social media icons for example) and allows the email recipient to choose which marketing area appeals most to them. For images like these, multiple click areas (called an image map) are added to the image thus allowing for the recipient to be sent to a number of relevant pages on the website depending on where on the banner they click.
Each click is initially directed back to the Rocketseed Application which records the click and forwards the clicker to their requested page.
Add Google Analytics - This will append Google Tracking information to the URL and allow you to track the click in your website analytics
Download my vCard - This will allow the person clicking the link to download your contact information and automatically add it to their address book in their email client
Once you’ve added a click through URL (website address) to your banner and added a tracker, you have the option to add an action to the click. This means that the person who clicked on the banner will not only be taken to the page you specify, but an additional action will be triggered.
The actions available are as follows:
Notify Sender - This will trigger a click-alert notification email to the original email sender
Notify Other - This will trigger a click-alert notification email to a specified 3rd party email address(es)
Tag Email Recipient Address - This will move the email recipient into a relevant receiver group in the receiver hierarchy
Update Recipient Properties - This will update the branding settings for the email recipient
You start your signature creation by selecting your layout from the layout gallery provided
In this example we have selected the Signature with the Logo on the right hand side and social media icons at the bottom layout option.
An editable version will now be made available for you to update and make your own.
Using the Modification options in the “Customise” tab to the right you may now update the fonts and colours of your signature.
Selecting the “All Labels” check box will highlight the labels in the design that will be updated and will give activate additional formatting options for you.
Select the Font Style, Size (Default to 10px) and Colour and then decide on your text decoration (Bold, Italics and/or underline) and click the “Apply” button to see the changes in the design view.
Then update the data values and Display Name in the same way and you will have finished formatting the text section of your signature. All the applied changes will update and your signature will look something like this:
Upload a new social media image and add an image map by clicking the image map icon and an “Add Image Map” window will become active.
Drag your cursor to draw the rectangles that you want to add links to. You will see that each rectangle is numbered (starting from 0) and below the preview of your image, are corresponding text boxes.
Enter the URL / Tracking Link in the relevant text boxes and add name your link..
If you want to add a Tracker Action, click on the associated Edit button and the following screen will be displayed.
You will then be prompted to resave your new signature and you’re done.
